Steam Extravaganza

The steam scene is very excited to be holding a spring steam extravaganza on the 24th and 25th of September 2022 $20 per person , under 15’ are free. 

Miniature trains are $2.00 a ride.

Gates open at 9am till 4pm. Rain or shine.

New Zealand’s biggest steam event. We'll be running with our miniture steam trains and there’ll be over 20 traction engines from around the country, with working traction engines giving demonstrations of, sheep shearing, oat threshing, stone crushing, along with a working saw mill, the NZ Blacksmiths Society will be forging throughout the day. There also will be working horses and much more. The bush rail steam train and miniature trains will be giving rides along with traction engine rides, and horses and cart rides.

There’ll be food stalls on site or pack a picnic.

This really is a fantastic weekend for all ages to come and see how it was when steam was king. Put it in your calendar 24th and 25th of September 2022 and head to McLeans Island, Christchurch...you won't want to miss it.... No dogs allowed
